Job Description
Reporting to the Director Aftermarket, this role manages a team of skilled parts ordering representatives to provide required quotes and manage orders throughout the Velan’s network of global distributors and end customers, across global commercial hubs to promote growth in Aftermarket department.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead entire department of resources performing functions from Quotations to Order Execution teams ensuring RFQs and orders are responded to in a timely manner targeting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Continuous improvement process to ensure highest efficiencies
- Liaison with global SALES members to increase bookings
- Lead Order Execution team to process orders and provide effective updates to internal and external customers
- Collaborate with Engineering, Application Engineering, QA, Supply Chain, Production, and other departments to ensure on-time delivery of orders and develop recovery plans when required
- Develop a customer centric environment including promotion and courteous communication practices
- Collaborate with Department Leaders to lead efforts and ensure development of strategic growth plans in alignment with SALES and Company initiatives
- Assist Managers with global pricing implementation, manage margins, facilitate day-to-day operations of department, and key metrics for individual performance measurements
- Mentor and motivate team members to meet and exceed team goals

Requirements
- Bachelor’s in business administration, Engineering, or other related degree
- 5 to 10 years in a similar position, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated experience directly and indirectly managing high performing teams, including influencing high-level individuals outside direct reporting relationships
- Proficient in MS office, in particular Excel (data analysis, pivot table)
- Good understanding of project management concepts (scope, cost, schedule)
- Strong knowledge in strength of materials properties is a plus, e.g. stainless steels, carbon steels, forgings, castings
