Job Description

Reporting to the Manager, Customs & Logistics, the Logistics, Coordinator is responsible for managing and overseeing Export shipments and inbound freight as well as the transportation and delivery processes within the different locations of the company. He/She ensures all logistics & Customs activities comply with customs regulations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage daily logistics operations including shipment scheduling, tracking, and export documentation (commercial invoice, packing lists, certificate of origin, etc.)
  • Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries
  • Coordinate and manage the transportation of goods from suppliers to our plants or within company locations
  • Manage the inbound freight from US, Canada and overseas to various locations
  • Prepare and verify all customs paperwork and ensure adherence to Canadian import/export laws
  • Provide timely updates on shipment status and resolve customer inquiries regarding logistics
  • Keep records of all inbound and outbound shipments
  • Evaluate and select transportation routes and shipping partners to optimize cost and time
  • Monitor the progress of shipments and resolve any issues that arise during transportation

Requirements

  • Knowledge or experience in customs brokerage or freight forwarding.
  • University degree with 2 Years of Experience as a Logistics Coordinator or College Degree with 5 Years of experience 
  • Knowledge in Excel (Intermediate Level)   
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills in both French & English (Bilingual)
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, strong organizational skills, detail oriented, basic knowledge of customs regulations in Quebec
  • Experience in freight forwarding
