Severe Service and Coker Key Account Manager

Job Description
Reporting to the Head of Sales, Americas, the Severe Service and Coker KAM is responsible for developing and leading the key account sales strategy, coordinating resources, and achieving revenue and profit targets for Coker and Severe Service customer applications. This position manages revenue opportunities across a wide array of complex relationships and geographies.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop sales strategy and increase market share/value for key Refining, Chemical, Oil & Gas accounts with Coker units
- Develop sales strategy and increase market share/value for Severe Service applications on Refining, Chemical, Oil & Gas accounts
- Create progress reports and forecasts using KPIs
- Review engineering schematics and isometrics
- Troubleshoot and/or solve valve issues on-site and collaborate with customers
- Work with the following Severe Service applications: Velocity Control, Steam Conditioning, Cryogenic application, and Fugitive emission control
- Conduct (RCA) Root Cause Analysis and suggest system improvements
- Customize engineered solutions and manage strategic accounts
- Set expectations and maintain communication with customers
- Understanding the customer and their needs, and effectively working with engineering team to offer insight and intelligence with respect to customer demands
- Work with engineering and LOB teams to align on client needs
- Act as primary contact and relationship builder
- Share insights that may benefit other teams or industries
- Manage sales budget, forecasts, and opportunity funnel
- Lead innovation sessions and identify new solutions with the collaboration from R&D team
- Review pricing, reduce costs, and identify knowledge gaps of the company’s products at relevant accounts and educate customers on the company’s product line

Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (or related discipline), or equivalent Industry experience
- 5 years or more of related field experience
- Good knowledge of industrial product applications
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Solution oriented
- Strong desire to learn
- Fluency in English (oral and written)
- Excellent ability to articulate and educate on technical concepts to a variety of audiences
- Strong ability to keep customers engaged
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment
- Ability to work efficiently with cross-functional teams
- Requires 20-30% domestic travel
