Velan 42-Inch Class 900 Torqseal® Valves Delivered to Major LNG Project
Velan recently shipped a fleet of 42-inch Class 900 bi-directional Torqseal® Triple Offset Butterfly Valves to a large LNG development project in Texas, USA, through our valued distribution partner, Ferguson. Velan was recognized as possibly the only valve manufacturer capable of producing the required design in this pressure class at this scale. This project highlights Velan’s legacy of advanced engineering and reinforces our capability to design, manufacture, and deliver highly specialized valve solutions for severe-service applications where performance, reliability, and scale are critical.

Originally qualified for Swing Adsorption & Molecular Sieve Switching through Velan Segault by Axens, this application approval has now been successfully transferred to Velan Inc.
In swing adsorption systems, frequent cycling between adsorption and regeneration, combined with rapid pressure and temperature changes and exposure to molecular sieve dust and fines, can quickly degrade conventional valve performance, leading to seat leakage and increased maintenance. The Securaseal® D-Series with a trunnion design and dual bellows-loaded seats, delivers bidirectional tight shutoff and high-cycle capability.
Typical competing solutions for this market segment include Orbit rising stem ball valves and Neles / Jamesbury-type designs.
