Swing check valves can be installed to allow flow in one direction only and protect systems that can be affected by reverse flow, such as a system shutdown.

Robust one-piece construction to withstand the severe shock of check valve service. Once the cover is removed, all parts are easily accessible for maintenance with seat faces that can be re-lapped.

Disc hanger is supported on a sturdy hinge pin that does not penetrate the body. This prevents possibility of pin ejection and leakage through a gasketed or packed hinge pin.

Velan cast steel swing check valves are manufactured to API 594 Type B design requirements.
