Some responsibilities:
- Works to meet and exceed sales and GM targets in assigned territory and/or accounts
- Creates accurate forecasts for the management team and helps to create/implement sales plans to further develop and grow the business
- Interacts with and travels to meet with end users and sales agents to create demand for Velan products and services as well as to close active opportunities.
- Assists the quotation admins and engineering to complete RFQ’s by coordinating with different departments throughout the organization
- Seeks to understand the customers budget, competition, Issues, time-line and other information that the team needs to make informed decisions
- Drives collaboration and teamwork
- Works with project management to provide assistance (if/when needed) to ensure open orders are delivered by the contract date
- Continually reviews the existing pricing and look for ways to drive out cost to improve margins
- Possesses deep knowledge of relevant product lines

Requirements
If you have:- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, mechanical engineering, or the equivalent
- 5 to 10 years experience in a similar position
- Must be able to develop a sales strategy and then execute it
- Ability to understand all aspects of each project to make accurate forecast decisions.
- Has a working knowledge of Nuclear standards and specifications
- Need to have those core competencies: customer engagement and customer needs analysis
- Demonstrated ability for develop solutions in various situations
- Solid understanding of valves a strong asset
- Proven track record in developing and managing key accounts and meeting booking target
