Features and benefits
Designed and developed to perform in a wide range of severe applications, the Securaseal R-series is our most robust and versatile metal-seated ball valve with over two decades of proven performance in the toughest applications including aggressive erosive and corrosive conditions. This quarter-turn design presents distinctive features to provide a tight shut-off and low fugitive emission seal over the life of the valve.
- Optimized body design complies with industry standards ASME B16.34 and API 608.
- Bi-directional sealing with a preferred sealing direction in dirty service.
- Tight shut-off. Match-lapped balls and seats for 100% contact.
- Upstream seat equipped with a Belleville spring to guarantee the scraping of the ball surface and maintain effective sealing.
- Seats are replaceable in-line for simple assembly and disassembly, with no special tools required.
- Low emissions stem seal in compliance with the highest industry standards.
- Robust blowout-proof stem.
- Live-loaded packing flange and improved stem seal design maintains packing sealing performance over the life of the valve.
- Fully guided stem.
- Internal thrust washers to reduce torque and provide secondary stem seal.
- Inherently fire safe.
- Wide range of trim options from standard to exotic materials.
- Advanced coatings for all ball and seats (as well as the waterway bore when necessary) provide trouble free operation even in aggressive erosive and corrosive services. Several deposition methods are available and some of these processes provide greatly improved wear properties.
- Available in cast and forged construction.
- Direct mount, no bracket and coupling.
- Ideally suited for manual or actuated on-off service for a wide range of applications and temperatures up to 1,450°F (788°C).
