Job Description

The Agent, Methods plays an important role in ensuring the efficiency, quality and safety of manufacturing processes within our organization. Working closely with production teams, engineering and management, the Methods Agent is responsible for analyzing, optimizing and documenting manufacturing methods and procedures.

Key responsabilities:

  • Develop methodical procedures for valve assembly
  • Create and optimize manufacturing sequences
  • Define, validate and correct assembly, repair and/or manufacturing specifications for the
    manufacturing process
  • Responsible for optimizing manufacturing and assembly to meet production rates
  • Plan and implement changes in valve production
  • Integrate change management
  • Responsible for first production unit
  • Harmonize implementation of changes in manufacturing and assembly strategies, working closely
    with engineering, materials logistics, quality and production departments
  • Support daily production activities
  • Identify non-value-added activities, eliminate them and optimize production.
  • Ensure the following requirements: ergonomics and health & safety, production tools and
    equipment in line with optimal work methodology
  • Be an ambassador for continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • Technical college diploma and/or equivalent experience
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the manufacturing industry
  • Organized and structured planning skills
  • Experience in problem solving
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills
  • Sense of innovation
  • Good interpersonal and customer-oriented communication skills
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver expected results
  • Ability to read technical drawings and good 3D visualization skills
  • Good knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Bilingualism required (French and English), spoken and written
  • Comfortable with basic CAD software tasks
  • Knowledge of valve design and assembly (an asset)
  • Familiarity with one or more Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications
    and CATIA V5 (an asset)
