Securaseal® metal-seated ball valves

Securaseal® metal-seated ball valves are built for high-to-ultra high temperatures, abrasive media, and corrosive environments. With a range of material options, they're designed to meet tough demands across various applications. Durable, reliable, and ready for extreme conditions.

Large industrial pipes and valves in a factory setting, surrounded by metal platforms, lights, and various machinery, with a grated floor and outdoor elements visible in the background.

Design

Close-up of a metallic industrial valve with flanges and lifting lugs, labeled "VELAN," featuring bolts and an actuator with blue piping, set against a light blue background.

Velan offers a full range of Securaseal metal‑seated ball valves engineered to handle demanding applications at temperatures up to 1,000°F (538°C). The body wall thickness meets ASME B16.34 requirements, and the valves are dual‑qualified to fugitive‑emission standards API 641 and ISO 15848‑1.

Seat arrangements

A close-up, cross-section illustration of mechanical components, featuring a large green curved part, brown and blue structural pieces, and a gray cylindrical section on the left.

Experience confident performance in every direction with bi‑directional sealing is achieved with a preferred flow direction. Beyond the standard seat design, Velan offers a wide selection of optional seat configurations tailored to specific applications, including crimped, bolted‑in, and spring‑loaded options.

Lower torque

A close-up photo of a metal tapered roller bearing with visible rollers and an inner and outer ring, set against a light grey background.

An externally located tapered roller bearing provides lower dynamic friction which will result in lower overall valve torque, ensuring operability.

Body seal

A shiny metallic disc with evenly spaced circular holes and a gold-colored ring placed next to it, set against a dark, textured background.

Our proprietary designed body seal is a pressure energized metallic gasket construction with unique coating to withstand extreme high temperatures and high pressures in hydroprocessing applications such as ebullating bed hydrocracking services.
