Severe service metal-seated ball valves
Securaseal® metal-seated valves are trusted in the world's most difficult applications such as delayed coking, refining and mining. We offer a comprehensive valve package that includes advanced automation with programmable logic control (PLC) panels, fully integrated with peripheral equipment and designed for seamless remote operation, ensuring the highest level of safety and performance.
Body design

Engineered for the most extreme process and environmental conditions, Velan’s Securaseal metal‑seated ball valve delivers application‑specific features tailored for the industry’s most critical services. With over 30 years of proven field performance, its precision‑machined construction body meets ASME B16.34 requirements.
Ball and seat design

The ball and seat are precision match‑lapped to ensure full‑area, tight shut‑off contact even under the most demanding conditions, delivering leak‑free performance and bi‑directional sealing with a preferred flow direction. The seats can be replaced in-line for straightforward assembly and disassembly, with no special tools required.
Ball and stem

The sturdy one‑piece ball and stem deliver maximum strength and are ideal for services where coke fines is a concern. This design avoids the common problems of two‑piece assemblies, such as solids accumulation that can cause hysteresis (“slop”) and increased operating torque.
Stem, packing, and live-loading

The robust, blowout‑proof stem features a clear open/closed position indicator and remains fully guided throughout operation. Advanced stem‑packing technology ensures a low‑emission stem seal. Live-loaded packing flange and improved stem seal design maintains packing sealing performance over the life of the valve.
